This is an extract from my 4* award-nominated solo show. It was nominated for the Outstanding Performance Award at Prague Fringe and will be performed at Fringes in San Francisco and New York this summer. One of only 5 non-African plays invited to be performed at the triennial Women Playwrights International Conference in Cape Town, it has also been performed in Boston and Stockholm. It is a deeply immersive piece of storytelling by Shurl, who grew up in the Welsh Valleys and lost her child to adoption, then to travel the globe in search of connection.
